Location:  Headquarters will be located at Ha Ha Tonka State Park, near Camdenton, Missouri. Check back here later for more details on the pre-race meeting and racer check-in locations.

Dates:  The Bonk Hard Chill will take place on February 18, 2012. Racer check-in will start at 4PM on Friday, February 17, and all teams need to be checked in by 8PM. All racers will need to bring ALL of their mandatory individual and team gear when they check in (excluding your mountain bikes). The pre-race meeting will start at 8PM sharp, and is mandatory for all Bonk Hard Chill racers. Check back here later for more details on the pre-race meeting and racer check-in locations.

Course:  The course for the Bonk Hard Chill will be very fun and challenging, and will highlight some of the best areas of the park. The course will feature trekking/running/orienteering, mountain biking, flatwater and / or river paddling along tall bluffs, and some beautiful Lake of the Ozarks views! Be prepared for a very fun and exciting race! The course for the Bonk Hard Chill will feature 20-35 miles of mountain biking, 8-15 miles of trekking and trail running and 5-10 miles of canoeing, all while using a map and compass to find your way from checkpoint to checkpoint. The expected winning time will be around 7 hours. Official start time, course details and distances will be announced at the pre-race meeting the night before the race.

RACE FEES: Early Registration (ends at 10:59PM CT on January 13th): $115/person Late Registration (after January 13th): $130/person * Registration will close at 10:59PM CT on February 10th. * Race fees include land use fees, maps, canoes, paddles and PFDs, insurance, post-race food and drinks, prizes, give-a-ways and a fantastic adventure!

Prizes (4-Person Co-ed Division):

1st Place:	- FREE entry into any Bonk Hard Racing event! - Choice of prizes from our great sponsors!
2nd Place:	- 75% off entry into any Bonk Hard Racing event! - Choice of prizes from our great sponsors!
3rd Place:	- 50% off entry into any Bonk Hard Racing event! - Choice of prizes from our great sponsors!
* Prizes will be awarded to the top team in all divisions!
Additional Prizes: Prizes will be awarded 3 deep (1st, 2nd, & 3rd teams will have a choice of prizes from our great sponsors!) based on the number of teams participating in each division on the day of the race. The following formula is applied: 1 - 3 teams participating in division --- Division 1st place awarded 4 - 5 teams participating in division --- Division 1st, 2nd places awarded 6 + teams participating in division --- Division 1st , 2nd, & 3rd places awarded * All certificates for discounted entry are for the individual racer and not the entire team.

Cancellation:

• $30 fee per person if before February 1st
• No refunds after February 1st!

Quail's Nest Inn & Suites, located about 30 minutes from Ha Ha Tonka State Park, is offering all Bonk Hard Chill racers, volunteers and their friends and families, a discounted rate on their rooms for the race. Continental breakfast is included and will be open early. Quail's Nest also has a heated indoor pool and hot tub for you to relax in on Saturday after the race.

Don't want to leave the spouse and kids at home? They can come and enjoy the weekend also! With the Outlet Mall only a two minute walk from Quail's Nest, the family can enjoy some shopping and a movie on Saturday while you're racing. Don't leave the family at home...they can enjoy a weekend at the Lake also!

Check in:  

Racer check-in will be held on Friday, Feb 17th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Oz Cycles & Kayaks, 1735 Bagnell Dam Blvd, Lake Ozark, MO 65049. All teams must be checked in by 8:00 PM.

Racers DO NOT need to bring their mandatory individual and team gear to racer check-in. However, there WILL BE gear checks on the course. Failing a gear check will result in a 3 HOUR TIME PENALTY.

The pre-race meeting will start at 8:00 PM sharp, Feb 17th, and is mandatory for all Bonk Hard Chill racers. The pre-race meeting will be held at the Leland O Mills Elementary School, Heritage Building (gym), just a couple of blocks from Oz Cycles.

Oz Cycles will be raffling off a Dagger Axis14.0L kayak!!! A MSRP value of $1300.00!!! Every registered racer will receive one raffle ticket!!

Oz Cycles will be having a closeout sale and Bonk Hard Chill Racers will be given an additional 30% off all apparel and select merchandise. Receive 1 TICKET for every $5.00 you spend at the store. DOUBLE TICKETS if you spend $100.00-$199.99. TRIPLE TICKETS if you spend $200.00 and up!!!

Please Note: In the event that roads are impassable due to weather conditions (ice storm, blizzard,...) The Bonk Hard Chill will be rescheduled for Saturday, March 3rd. If this situation occurs, we will post an update on the website, Facebook, and Twitter.

Support Crew:  

The Bonk Hard Chill will NOT be a supported race, and racers are not allowed to receive any support from anyone not racing.

Volunteers:  

Volunteers are such an important part of every race, and we strive to make volunteering at our races fun and enjoyable. All volunteers will receive a certificate for 50% off entry into any Bonk Hard Racing event, a free race shirt and food after the race. If you are interested in participating in adventure racing, volunteering is one of the best ways to get into the action and see if it is a sport you will enjoy!
