Location:  Headquarters will be located at Lake of the Ozarks State Park, near Osage Beach, Missouri. Lake of the Ozarks State Park offers racers excellent mountain biking, lake paddling, and miles of hiking and running trails all within a beautiful location. The pre-race meeting, dinner and racer check-in will all be hosted at the Riverview Baptist Church, at the Hwy. 54 and Hwy. 42 junction.

Dates:  The Bonk Hard Chill will take place on March 13, 2010. Racer check-in will start at 4PM on Friday, March 12th, and all teams need to be checked in by 8PM. All racers will need to bring ALL of their mandatory individual and team gear when they check in (excluding your mountain bikes). The pre-race dinner will start at 5PM and last until 8PM. The pre-race meeting will start at 8PM sharp, and is mandatory for all Bonk Hard Chill racers.

Course:  The course for the Bonk Hard Chill will be very fun and challenging, and will highlight some of the best areas of the park. The course will feature great single track mountain biking, flatwater and / or river paddling along tall bluffs, and some beautiful Lake of the Ozarks views! Be prepared for a very fun and exciting race! The course for the Bonk Hard Chill will feature 20-35 miles of mountain biking (on single track trails, gravel roads and paved roads), 8-15 miles of trekking and trail running and 5-10 miles of canoeing, all while using a map and compass to find your way from checkpoint to checkpoint. The expected winning time will be around 7 - 8 hours. Official start time, course details and distances will be announced at the pre-race meeting the night before the race.

RACE FEES:
Early Registration (ends at 11:59PM on December 27): $100/person
Normal Registration (ends at 11:59PM on February 12): $110/person
Late Registration (after February 12): $120/person
* Registration will close at 11:59PM on March 6th.

* Race fees include land use fees, quality maps from MyTopo.com, canoes, paddles and PFDs, insurance, post-race food and drinks, prizes, give-a-ways, and a fantastic adventure! The pre-race pasta meal can be purchasing during registration for an additional $8 (see below for menu items) and a very nice hoodie can be purchased for an additional $10.

Checkpoint Tracker Adventure Racing Series:  Checkpoint Tracker is the new face of adventure racing in the United States. It is a coalition of the top promoters in the country, working together to attract new athletes and advance competitive racing at a national level. It is a National Ranking system in which teams can accumulate points throughout the year and qualify to compete at the 2010 Checkpoint Tracker National Championship race. QUAIL'S NEST INN & SUITES

Quail's Nest Inn & Suites, located about a 5 mile drive from Lake of the Ozarks State Park, is offering all Bonk Hard Chill racers a discounted rate on their rooms for March 12th and 13th. Quail's Nest has over 55 rooms available, including rooms with a king bed, a king bed with a jacuzzi and two queens. They have many different room layouts available. Quail's Nest also has a heated indoor pool & hot tub for you to relax in on Saturday after the race. We have also made arrangements with Quail's Nest to have their continental breakfast ready-to-go before the race start.

Don't want to leave the spouse and kids at home? They can come and enjoy the weekend also! With the Outlet Malls only a two minute walk from Quail's Nest, the family can enjoy some shopping and a movie on Saturday while you're racing. There are a ton of great restaurants within walking distance of Quail's Nest also. Or if they just want to stay in, they can relax in the heated indoor pool and hot tub at the hotel. Don't leave the family at home this year...let them come and enjoy a weekend at the Lake also.

Camping:
Basic camping at the Lake of the Ozarks State Park will be available for all racers. If you will be camping at Lake of the Ozarks State Park for the race, you will need to make a reservation through the Missouri State Park's online reservation system, or by phone. To reserve a site by phone, call 877-ICampMO (877-422-6766) from 7 AM until 10 PM seven days a week. To reserve a campsite online, visit Missouri State Parks website. The campsites are "winterized", and will not offer any water to racers.

Check in:  The pre-race meeting, dinner and racer check-in will all be hosted at the Riverview Baptist Church, at the Hwy. 54 and Hwy. 42 junction. Racer check-in will start at 4PM on Friday, March 12th and end at 8PM. All racers will need to bring ALL of their mandatory individual and team gear when they check in (excluding your mountain bikes).

Pre-race Meal:  The pre-race dinner will start at 5PM and last until 8PM on Friday, March 12th at Riverview Baptist Church at the Hwy 54 and Hwy 42 junction. As a way to keep costs down for all racers, we are giving all racers the option to purchase tickets for the pre-race meal instead of including this in the cost of the race. If you purchase tickets for the pre-race meal through the registration process on the website, the cost will be $8. If you choose to order a ticket at the race, the cost will be $10. Menu items are listed below.

Support Crew:  The Bonk Hard Chill will not be a supported race, and racers are not allowed to receive any support from anyone not racing.

Volunteers:  Volunteers are such an important part of every race, and we strive to make volunteering at our races fun and enjoyable. All volunteers will receive a certificate for 50% off entry into any Bonk Hard Racing event, a free race shirt and pre-race meal ticket. Also, food will be provided during the race. If you are interested in participating in adventure racing, volunteering is one of the best ways to get into the action and see if it is a sport you will enjoy!
