Location: Headquarters will be located at Lake of the Ozarks State Park, near Osage Beach, Missouri. Lake of the Ozarks State Park offers racers excellent mountain biking, lake paddling, and miles of hiking and running trails all within a beautiful location. The pre-race meeting, dinner and racer check-in will all be hosted at the Riverview Baptist Church, at the Hwy. 54 and Hwy. 42 junction.
Dates: The Bonk Hard Chill will take place on February 9, 2008. Racer check-in will start at 3PM on Friday, February 8th and all teams need to be checked in by 8PM. All racers will need to bring ALL of their mandatory individual and team gear when they check in (excluding your mountain bikes). The pre-race dinner will start at 5PM and last until 8PM. The pre-race meeting will start at 8PM sharp, and is mandatory for all Bonk Hard Chill racers.
18-Hour Course:
The 18-Hour Course will feature 25-50 miles of mountain biking (on single track trails, gravel roads and paved roads), 10-20 miles of trekking and trail running and
5-15 miles of canoeing, all while using a map and compass. The expected winning time will be around 10 hours, and all teams must be back to Race Headquarters at the 18-Hour mark of the race. Official
start time, course and distances will all be announced at the pre-race meeting the night before the race.
The 18-Hour Course is open to 2-Person teams as well as 4-Person teams, and is a part of the Elite Division of the Bonk Hard Adventure Race Series. ALL 4-Person teams that
register for the race will automatically receive 18 points in the Bonk Hard Adventure Race Series. Points will also be awarded to teams based on their final rankings

USARA GoLite Adventure Racing National Championships: The top 3 4-Person Co-ed teams in the 18-Hour course at the
Bonk Hard Chill will qualify for the 2008 USARA GoLite Adventure Racing National Championships
to be held on November 7-8 in Georgia. The first place co-ed team will receive $400 towards their entry fee into the National Championships,
paid for by Bonk Hard Racing, LLC. If the first place co-ed team has already received $400 towards their entry fee into the National
Championships, the $400 will roll down to the second place team, and so on, until it reaches a team that has not received the money towards
their registration fees.
The top three 4-Person co-ed teams in the 18-Hour course will qualify for the National Championships race. If one of the top three co-ed teams
have already qualified for the National Championships race, the qualification will roll down to the 4th place team, and so on, until it reaches
three teams that have not yet qualified for the race.
All racers at the Bonk Hard Chill will be required to purchase a one time USARA race license. USARA one time licenses, $8, and annual
memberships, $35, can be purchased at racer check-in on Friday. If you are already an annual member of the USARA, please remember to bring
your membership card with you to racer check-in.

The Course: The courses for both the Bonk Hard Chill 18-Hour and the Bonk Hard Chill 8-Hour are going to be a very fun and challenging, and will highlight some of the best areas of the park. The course will feature great single track mountain biking, flatwater paddling along tall bluffs, and some beautiful Lake of the Ozarks views! Be prepared for a very challenging and exciting race with tough navigation.
Registration: Registration is NOW OPEN! Registration fees include race setup and fees, land use permits, insurance, maps, prizes, and canoe rentals (including PFDs and paddles). Additional items, such as a pre-race dinner ($8) and a very nice long sleeve Bonk Hard Chill shirt ($10), will be available for you to purchase if you choose during registration.

State Park, is offering all Bonk Hard Chill racers a discounted rate on their rooms for February 8th & 9th. Quail's Nest has over 55 rooms
available, including rooms with a king bed, a king bed with a jacuzzi and two queens. They have many different room layouts available.
Quail's Nest also has a heated indoor pool & hot tub for you to relax in on Saturday after the race. We have also made arrangements with
Quail's Nest to have their continental breakfast ready-to-go before the race start.
Don't want to leave the spouse and kids at home? They can come and enjoy the weekend also! With the Outlet Malls only a two minute walk from
Quail's Nest, the family can enjoy some shopping and a movie on Saturday while you're racing. There are a ton of great

Camping:
Basic camping at the Lake of the Ozarks State Park will be available for all racers. If you will be camping at
Lake of the Ozarks State Park for the race, you will need to make a reservation through the Missouri State Park's online reservation system,
or by phone. To reserve a site by phone, call 877-ICampMO (877-422-6766) from 7 AM until 10 PM seven days a week. To reserve a
campsite online, visit Missouri State Parks website. The campsites are "winterized",
and will not offer any water to racers.
Check in: The pre-race meeting, dinner and racer check-in will all be hosted at the Riverview Baptist Church, at the Hwy. 54 and Hwy. 42 junction. Racer check-in will start at 3 PM on Friday, February 8th and end at 8 PM. Pre-race Meal: The pre-race dinner will start at 5 PM and last until 8 PM on Friday, February 8th at Riverview Baptist Church at the Hwy 54 and Hwy 42 junction. As a way to keep costs down for all racers, we are giving all racers the option to purchase tickets for the pre-race meal instead of including this in the cost of the race. If you purchase tickets for the pre-race meal through the registration process on the website, the cost will be $8. If you choose to order a ticket at the race, the cost will be $10. Support Crew: The Bonk Hard Chill will not be a supported race, and racers are not allowed to receive any support from anyone not racing.
Volunteers: Volunteers are such an important part of every race, and we strive to make volunteering at our races fun and enjoyable. All volunteers will receive a certificate for 50% off entry into any Bonk Hard Racing event (exclucing the Mighty MO Expedition), a free long sleeve race shirt and pre-race meal ticket. Also, food will be provided during the race. If you are interested in participating in adventure racing, volunteering is one of the best ways to get into the action and see if it is a sport you will enjoy!
